Back from the holiday weekend and back in full swing at SEARK Co-op!

Today was packed with powerful, practical learning for educators across Southeast Arkansas. Sessions included:

💻 Coding with Python & Raspberry Pi – Educators explored coding fundamentals through a hands-on experience that connected on-screen graphics with real-world components.

🛠️ Agriculture & Shop Programs Teacher Collaboration – A valuable opportunity for teachers to share ideas, strategies, and resources specific to their pathways.

🎤 Surviving & Thriving with Andrew Marotta – A full day of leadership, inspiration, and growth! Educators walked away uplifted, with strategies for self-care, leadership, and renewed purpose.

🧠 Trauma-Invested Classrooms – Based on the work of Kristin Souers and Pete Hall, this session helped educators recognize the impact of trauma on learning and how to build classrooms that are both compassionate and accountable.

🤖 Using Artificial Intelligence in Writing Instruction – Teachers explored how AI tools can be used to plan writing lessons and support students in their writing process.

📚 Booktalks: Books, Books, and More Books! – With over 85 recent middle grade and YA titles discussed, this session gave educators a treasure trove of reading recommendations to share with students.

It’s exciting to see educators diving into new ideas and walking away ready to make a difference!
