Today, educators from across South Arkansas gathered in Monticello to take the first steps toward licensure and collaborate to pursue a CTE Technical Permit. Presenters from the Division of Career and Technical Education (DCTE) and local school districts shared insightful strategies on effective teaching and student management, providing valuable tools for teachers to enhance their classroom practices.

Our math specialist, Katlin Hogue, visited 3rd grade students at Lakeside yesterday and observed them working on an activity matching arrays and groups to create multiplication problems.
Hands-on learning like this helps students build strong foundations in math while keeping it fun and engaging! 🌟

AmeriCorps members will be collecting items for Hope Place Monticello, Hope Place Fordyce, and Hope Place Warren. Anyone in Southeast Arkansas can contact any of these locations for services. Items listed on the flyer were provided by all 3 Hope Place locations. These items were identified as most needed items. Donations will be collected from September 4th-October 28th.
Donations will be taken to schools and businesses in Crossett, Dewitt, Drew Central, Fordyce, Hampton, Hermitage, Lakeside, McGehee, Star City, Warren, and Woodlawn. All items collected will be divided between the 3 Hope Place locations.
