Last week, eight Agriculture teachers and one Construction teacher took part in an engaging CNC machining workshop. They acquired valuable skills through hands-on training, which covered fundamental concepts, practical techniques, and essential safety protocols. This workshop not only prepared them to confidently operate and use ShopBot equipment but also equipped them with the knowledge to teach students and help them achieve ShopBot certifications.

ACT WorkKeys/National Career Readiness Certificate
During this training participants will go over the ACT WorkKeys portal, learn how to use the modules and administer the NCRC assessment. Participants will learn how to set up student accounts, how to create and assign lessons and quizzes, and how to view student reports/ data. Participants will also learn how to maneuver the Validus testing portal, set up student accounts, authorize testing sessions, and pull reports and certifications.
Family & Consumer Sciences Teacher Collaboration Session
This is an opportunity for teachers to collaborate and communicate about curriculum, classroom management, technology, and other resources. Classroom project ideas, academic integration, lesson planning, CTSO, instructional strategies, industry certifications, and standards will also be discussed.
Participants should be teachers from the Southeast Arkansas Career and Technical Education Consortium Area and bring information to share. For example, sample lesson plans and hands-on projects will be discussed in this workshop. Bring your best ideas and questions to this session!
